Like each of its six predecessors, Blight requires you to peel away layers. On the surface, it is unembellished - plain, even.

Emotionally exhausting yet frequently stunning, this is an effortlessly compelling and haunting addition to Peter Silberman and co’s impressive canon After almost 20 years together, it should be pretty well established that you don’t come to The Antlers to be cheered up. This is the band whose best album, the superlative Hospice, is a concept album detailing a relationship between a hospice worker and a patient dying from cancer. A band who prefer huge, emotional soundscapes to singalong choruses.
